The Latest at Sew Lux ...

Hi everyone!  We've got several things to share with you today!  :)

First, we wanted to share that we have a Free Fat Quarter promotion in place ... every customer who completes a purchase transaction during the month will be entered into a drawing.  At the end of the month, one winner will be chosen for a free fat quarter of their choice.  We'll post the winner here on the blog and also send the lucky shopper an email to get their selection.  We'll draw for January's winner on Tuesday and post it here.

We have several new Little Quilts ready to ship and they have been posted in the Etsy store and will soon be online in our standalone site.

We want to share our customer projects here on the blog, and recently a customer (we'll call her L) sent us photos of her daughter's newly redecorated room using the Tea Garden Silhouette Blue fabric. Doesn't it look amazing?!

I just love that some hot pink was added in as an accent color. You can see the curtain off to the left in the photo and the great dust ruffles, pillows, and french memory board.  Here's a better shot of the curtain.
I know that her daughter must love this - its beautiful!  Thank you so much, L, for sharing these photos with us!

Coming later this week, I will share how this project with Designer Beads Red and Designer Beads Mist turned out ...

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!  We'll see you again later this week :)

More New Fabrics

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all having a great weekend!  Just wanted to stop in and share that we have a few more new tone-on-tone prints that we just got in!  Moda has a collection called "Puzzle Pieces" and there is an amazing assortment of tone-on-tone and small scale prints in a pretty impressive array of colors.  We chose a few to add to our line up.  Here they are ...

This one is Sage Dots - its actually a brighter green than I typically think of when I hear "sage" - this would blend in great with holiday prints as well.
Next is Black Jacquard.  I love that this sort of looks a little like lace.  The photo looks a little green, but it is indeed black.
Here's the Red Paisley.  This is a great, subtle print that could mix in with so many lines - Bliss, holiday prints, Valentine's Day projects, etc.
Here's the Brown Specks.  This one is really pretty as well.
And Dusty Blue Swirl.  A pretty paisley/flourishy print.  I think it would be a pretty backing fabric!
Later this week, I will be sharing some of the little quilts we'll be adding to the shop as well as some inspiration to get you stitching away!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tea Garden

Hi everyone! Hope you are all staying warm!  I thought I'd stop in and share a few things to chase away the winter blues ...

First some pretty fabric that a few folks have snapped up recently ...

These prints are from the Tea Garden collection by Dena Designs.  I love these bright colors and pretty prints!  We've got yardage available as well as fat quarter and half-yard bundles of the five prints.

A recent customer, Tina, shared a little about her recent order as well as some lovely photos of some pretty spring flowers!  Thanks so much for mentioning us on your blog, Tina!  :-)

New Fabrics

Hi everyone!  We had some winter weather here in the southeast ... we hope you are all staying nice and warm!  :-)  We have a few new fabrics to share with you this week from Free Spirit.

These three fabrics are from the Designer Pinwheels collection and are great tone-on-tone fabrics that will blend well with many collections you may have.  I really love the pinwheel design in these.  We've got...
 expresso (a lovely dark brown)
 gray
and spice.

We have some more tone-on-tone prints coming from Moda ... hopefully this week and I will get those posted and update you all here as soon as they arrive! :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year & the Latest

Happy New Year y'all!  We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are off to a great start to 2011!  We've got some exciting things going on around here ...

Today, Linda is off to her first dulcimer conference and has about 35 little quilts in tow!  These little quilts are small quilts that are dual purpose ... they can be attached to a dulcimer stand ... or they can be hung on the wall as a decorative art piece.  While each is similar, every little quilt is a one-of-a-kind work.  Here's an example of one of them ....

We also met with our Moda rep last night.  Kim is super nice and we really enjoyed seeing the samples of many of the collections that will be coming out over the next several months.  We placed a few orders and are looking forward to adding some MoMo, Kate Spain, and more to our inventory soon.  We'd love to hear what collections you're looking forward to as well!

Also, this year we plan to feature some of our customers here on the blog.  So, if you've made something with fabric you purchased from our shop, please email us and let us know so we can feature your great project!
