Inquiring Minds ...

Hey friends!

It's that time again when we are getting ready to meet with our Moda Rep to select collections for the shop.  It's totally crazy, but we're already picking the 2013 holiday collections (as well as, ahem, Happy-Go-Lucky - totally a given that we'll carry that line!).  We'd love to know what you'd love to sew with.

Check out the Moda Catalog here and tell us what you think in the comments.  I'll select a winner and post a winner on Sunday, 1/27/13 for a little prize!

Thanks in advance for your feedback!  We really do consider your feedback when we sit down with our rep.  We appreciate hearing which collections you'll likely stash and sew with, including any specific prints or colorways you'd love to see.

p.s. Not that I really think I have to say this, but this post and request for your feedback isn't meant to open the door to negative comments about a designer's collection.  Please don't bash anyone's art - if a collection isn't your personal style, just don't say anything about it.  Thanks for keeping it positive around these parts! :-)

  7. I like the first three christmas ones, the Boo crew - which is a surprise but it is Sweetwater, and happy go lucky. It must be so fun to order in advance of the seasons like this.

  25. aspen frost (the music on blue is singing to me)... in from the cold is begging to be made into a snuggly quilt (especially the cups on juniper)... i wouldn't buy all of the posh pumpkins line, but some prints, like 17739 21 wheat could definitely find their way into my stash. i'm not really into halloween at all, but it's sweetwater, so some of boo crew might also wander into my stash. the little monster guys on purple? love. my other must have is flats. but i have three little girls, so that's no surprise!!

  26. Boo Crew is fab! I love how it softens the usually bright purples and oranges of Halloween. And you can't go wrong with including text prints either! I also really like Baby Jane. You could certainly use it for baby or children's projects, but its sophistication makes it just as appealing for adults.

  41. oooh that Winter's Lane. It's festive, but it doesn't scream "You can only put me out at Christmas!" And it's a bit different from everything else that's out there right now. Posh Pumpkins is cute, too.

Modascapes could be good for quilt backs, maybe. I also like Shades of Black and LOVE Baby Jane. I could see myself buying some yardage of that. :)

  42. That was easy...Winter's Lane! It's got the classic combination of aqua-ish blues with red and some grays & creams. Looking forward to the release of this fabric!
