Hi there! Just stopping in to share something I've actually sewn lately! :-)
I finished up some blocks for the May do. Good Stitches group that I am in. I love that all these blocks go into quilts for people who are in need. This month, Kelsey asked us to make some string blocks using gray, white, aqua and either yellow or orange. Great color scheme ... especially for kids. We used this tutorial and it's super easy to do. I actually only stitch to paper once and then move the paper out of the way to stitch the strips together. My feed dogs aren't real friendly with paper.
Here are my aqua/gray/white/orange blocks ...
And my aqua/gray/white/yellow blocks (excuse the dark photo ... the sun went down before I finished!) ...
I love how scrappy these are and was glad to work in some scraps from a few shop fabrics, including the Gray Houndstooth, Tea Garden Sencha Blue (now sold out), Bella White, and Weekends Go By Bike Gray. :-)
Well, that's all for now! :-) We got more shipping notices today, so we'll be adding some precuts from some new lines later this week! Stay tuned ...
Happy Sewing :-)
Those look great. It might be my love for orange and turquoise right now, but I really adore the top one :)
