Birthday Giveaway

Hi again ...

So today is my birthday!  And I'm sharing some presents with you all!  :-)

Kate Spain has some of her Terrain designs featured on some items at Michael's Stores. She shared about them on her blog several weeks ago, shortly after which I hunted them down!

I will be giving away these two ink pen & pad combos along with a few other little surprises.  Want to win one?  Just leave a comment on this post telling me EITHER your favorite handmade gift you ever received OR your favorite handmade gift to make and give.  I will choose two random winners after 5 PM on Sunday, 8/26/12 and announce them here on the blog on Monday, 8/27/12.  One comment per person, please.

Have a wonderful day!

    Happy Birthday!
The favorite gift I received was an afghan my SIL gave me for Christmas! It was a year when I was really stressed at work and at home and I felt all the love and care she put into it with every stitch! I cherish it every day!
    Thanks for the Giveaway!
    Take care, Leslie

  2. Yes, I saw these Kate Spain gifts, but they aren't available here in Australia! I made my dear late Mum a quilt for Mother's Day a number of years ago. It brought her a great deal of pleasure and it now lives with me! Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Awe, you're a sweetie! Happy Birthday!!!! I saw those at Michael's a while back. I didn't buy any, so winning one would be too cool.

So, I think I love to give little things...handbags, zippered pouches...it really depends upon the person. I prefer to give something made if I can...but sometimes you just can't.

    Happy Birthday again!

My fav. homemade gift I've ever received was a calendar wall hanging quilt my sister-in-law made for me. I'm training to be a doula and the 12 squared quilt was made so that I can sew on a button to remember each baby's birth that I attend. It was a sweet gift idea.

  26. Happy Birthday Chrissy! When my husband and I were first dating, way before we ever lived in Seattle, we visited the city together. We ended up eating at a very nice restaurant that served amazing key lime cheesecake. Once we had returned home, and my birthday rolled around, he decided to make me a key lime cheesecake from scratch to remind me of our first trip together. My husband never bakes so it was truly special for him to do this!
