Hop, Skip, & Jump: Happy Go Lucky is En Route!

I don't think excited is really a big enough word for what I felt when I saw that this collection has officially been shipped our way!  So thrilled that our order plus almost all of the extra I ordered is now en route to our shop.  Oh. My. Gosh. Y'all!! I am so excited for two reasons ... (1) I love this collection and (2) I can start cutting kits and those of you on the wait list will get to cut and stitch with this stuff, too.  Hip hip hooray!  So, if you are on the wait list ... check your email!

If you already have a reservation (for any or several of the three collections), be on the lookout for a very important email on Monday with monthly kit payment details as well as the opportunity to order border/binding and backing kits - they will be in limited supply.

We'll have yardage for this collection available on the website later this weekend as well ... I will update y'all here when its all set and ready to add to your cart!

Great news to share with you today...

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this block of the month program!  It is going to be so much fun stitching along with you all.  I can't wait to send out the bonus block pattern for all subscribers tomorrow - who's ready?!

We've been overwhelmed at the response to our BOM. Since this is our first one, we really just didn't know if anyone would sign up.  (Silly, right!?) Well, while we are still very hopeful to add more Happy Go Lucky kits in the next few weeks, we have also opened up monthly block kits in two additional collections - see below for the prints included in these kits.  Spaces are limited, so if you've been on the fence, now is the time to join!

Hop, Skip, & Jump BOM Update

Hey there friends in fabric!

Just a quick update for those of you participating in our Hop, Skip & Jump BOM program.

Everyone should have received an "official" email from us by now with confirmation of your pattern only subscription, your kit reservation, or an update on our wait list. If you have not received one, please make sure (1) is isn't in your junk/spam folder and (2) that you've added "sewlux (at) gmail (dot) com" to your contacts.  If you've checked those two things and still don't have it, please email us and we'll check it out.

You're going to want to make sure you are getting our emails because you'll find a bonus block pattern arriving in your inbox on the 15th!  So get excited!!!

Sneak Peek : Block of the Month

I am very excited to share that we will be officially introducing our very first Block of the Month (BOM) program later this month. I finished designing the blocks for the quilt last night and snapped a quick pic with my phone last night and shared on Instagram.

Just a little teaser for you.  :-) It will feature Happy-Go-Lucky by Bonnie & Camille.  And I will get slashing into those pretty fat eighths this weekend to make our quilt sample.

Since this is our first BOM and we love taking your opinion into consideration, I made a quick survey to ask y'all a few questions to help us as we finalize the details of our program.  If you'd be at all interested in doing a 12-block quilt with us, or you've participated in a BOM before, I'd love it if you wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts with us.

What free time?!

Hey friends!

As if I didn't have enough to do, I went ahead and started the new year by signing up for three (yes, three) different BOMs!  Oh.M.Gee what was I thinking?!  But, since I have six more teaching days in my crazy semester and am hoping that 2013 brings me less teacher homework and more evening sewing time, I figured, "why not?!"

The good news is that they are all online and I can do them when I want.  We'll see how that goes.  I have so many WIPs its not even funny.  :-)

There's a free BOM at Craftsy.  I will admit it was all those dotty mcspotty fabrics that had me at hello for this one. I love a good dot print.  Did I mention how I love dot prints?!

Then there's the Sugar Block Club BOM with Amy.  I mean, it's Amy's BOM so I had to join.  Love that she is including a sweet recipe each month too.

And this paper pieced Lucky Stars BOM with Elizabeth from Don't Call Me Betsy looked super fun.  Haven't decided if I will use solids or prints this one.

If you sign up for any of these (well the non-Craftsy ones) and you're an eager beaver to get started, be patient while they add you to the mailing list and get everything updated since the original emails went out on the 1st.  :-)
