Spinning in the Rain BOM : Block 1

Happy June 1st!

We're so excited to kick off our brand new BOM this month.  Spinning in the Rain is a 12-month series and each month we will make a different pinwheel based block.  We're starting with an quick and simple block to ease us in to the BOM since summer is upon us.

The first pattern was sent out this morning and I whipped my blocks up in no time.

What's up with my two blocks?  Well, we had two different kits ... one in April Showers (kit now sold out) and one in Color Me Happy.  I couldn't decide which I wanted to make, so I thought it would be fun to make one as a mini.  And you can too!

Since minis are all the rage, I've decided to include the measurements for a smaller version with each month's pattern.  Just follow the same directions with the smaller pieces.  Hope you love that added bonus!

Spinning in the Rain BOM Reservations

Have you heard?!  We've started taking reservations for our next Block-of-the-Month - Spinning in the Rain!

We've had so much fun with Hop, Skip & Jump that we couldn't resist starting another great sampler quilt.

Spinning in the Rain starts in June, but now is the time to reserve your kit in either April Showers or Color Me Happy.  Kits are limited for this fun pinwheel themed quilt.  There is also a PDF subscription if you have a different collection in mind.

Anniversary Mystery Mini Quilt Revealed!

Our Anniversary Mystery Mini Quilt Pattern Series is now complete! Here's an image of the entire pattern.

I still need to add the borders and quilt mine, but I can hardly stand how cute its turning out!   I'm working on a big project at work this week and then I will have time to finish this cuteness and share it here on the blog.

Club Medallion Update

Hey there!

This month's block is less complicated than Block 2 and comes together pretty quickly with the help of some simple paper piecing.

Easy as ABC QAL

Hey there friends!

We're really excited to be partnering up with Alyce over at Blossom Heart Quilts for her "Easy as ABC" Quilt Along.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this block of the month program!  It is going to be so much fun stitching along with you all.  I can't wait to send out the bonus block pattern for all subscribers tomorrow - who's ready?!

We've been overwhelmed at the response to our BOM. Since this is our first one, we really just didn't know if anyone would sign up.  (Silly, right!?) Well, while we are still very hopeful to add more Happy Go Lucky kits in the next few weeks, we have also opened up monthly block kits in two additional collections - see below for the prints included in these kits.  Spaces are limited, so if you've been on the fence, now is the time to join!

Introducing : Hop, Skip & Jump BOM

Y'all I am sooo stoked to kick off our very first block-of-the-month (aka BOM) program!  I mean, like, really excited!  If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen me share assorted photos as I have been working on the project - the design, the images, etc.  Well, its time to share all the deets!

What Are We Making?
This quilt will have twelve 12-inch blocks, some sashing, two borders and will finish at 60 in x 74 in.

You Can Do It!
First of all, this is a beginner-friendly quilt that requires no special rulers or equipment.  We'll be rotary cutting, marking a few special lines for some blocks, but y'all can do it!  There are two basic, traditional blocks that we'll be working on over the course of the BOM and we'll just add some special touches to them to jazz them up a little.

How Does It Work?
Each month from June 2013-May 2014, you'll receive a new block pattern.  Patterns will be delivered to subscribers in PDF format by e-mail.  Patterns will include step-by-step instructions, photos, and cutting diagrams to help you make your blocks. The last month of the BOM, you will also receive instructions for completing your quilt.

There are TWO types of subscriptions for our BOM program.

1. Reserve your spot to receive printed patterns and a block kit in the mail each month.  This includes all the fabric you need for each month's block, printed patterns, access to the PDF version of the patterns, and a few little surprises along the way! :-)  See all the details about this option, including the reservation fee and monthly pricing, here. Quantities are limited.
2. Or sign up to receive the patterns only by e-mail.  Sign up by 5/15 for just $10.  (Price will be $12 after 5/15/13.) 

Block kit subscribers will be making their quilt in the beautiful Happy Go Lucky line from Bonnie & Camille (yardage arrives in May - precuts available now).
