Hi everyone! We are so excited to tell you that we met with our Moda rep tonight and placed a few orders for some LOVELY fabric that will making its way to our shop shelves in just a few short months. We had gotten an email with some PDF files of the upcoming collections and both my mom and I were so excited over two lines in particular ...
This one is Sophie by Chez Moi. (I'm already thinking about framing that bunch of flowers in a hexagon block! haha)
And this one is Summer House by Lily Ashbury.
Aren't they just gorgeous?! Which one do you like better? We've ordered some precuts and yardage for both ... Summer House is supposed to arrive in July and Sophie is slated for August. Seems like a long time to wait, huh? :-)
We also loved the pretty florals in the Dogwood Trail Collection. These fabrics are the newest in Moda's Collections for a Cause and this line supports the National Quilt Museum in Paducah. We've ordered precuts and yardage, which are slated to arrive in July as well.
We also ordered more Bella Solids Snow (a beautiful cream and great match to Kona Snow or Bone) as well as a pretty Essential Dot called "Sunshine" to coordinate with the Tea Garden prints we are already carrying.
We'd love to hear which one(s) of these you are most excited about! We're also planning to add some patterns to the shop, but we need your help ... what would you like to see most? Patterns for bags? Patterns for quilts? Patterns using charms or fat quarters, etc? Do you have a favorite pattern you'd love to see us carry? Kits - for bags or quilts or both? Please tell us what you think! We've got a little prize to share and we'll do a random drawing from all the comments on this post (one entry per person please) and post a winner on Saturday. :) Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts with us.
We appreciate you stopping by ... we have lots more to share this week, so stay tuned!
Love the Sophie!
ReplyDeleteLove all those fabrics! I love pincushions patterns, but that's a personal fav. Purses would be my second love. Quilts I tend to do my own thing.
ReplyDeleteI like quilt patterns the most!
ReplyDeleteI love the Summer House line!
ReplyDeleteI don't buy many quilt patterns but I like patterns for bags and purse etc
Love the Sophie, but in reality, Dogwood is more my flavor! I am looking for simple bag projects, and something new and different in quilts - I have too many fabrics I dont want to chop to bits - so I'm needing patterns for large prints.
ReplyDeleteI think quilt patterns are my fav and quilt patterns that utilize precuts are very useful since there are so many out there. And it seems precuts are what comes out first. So we fall in love with a fabric line and then are "forced" to buy precuts until the yardage arrives on the market.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric choices btw!
Love the darkest blue in Summer House and the flowers on cream in Sophie. The dogwood fabric looks so pretty. I can't wait to see it in person.
ReplyDeleteI love FQs and bags but I would like to see some smaller projects. My UFO list is long enough! I love to start and finish some cute wall hangings or pillows that try new techniques.
Small projects that can be completed in an afternoon or weekend. And using pre-cuts.
ReplyDeleteLove the Summer House.
Hi Chrissie. I love that Sophie range- so pretty!! I would like to see patterns/kits for bags, in particular, a large carryall type to hold quilting supplies, with pockets for a rotary cutter/ruler/cutting board, and such. :0)
ReplyDeleteI think pre-cut or charm patterns and small projects, something that can be completed in an afternoon or the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see patterns using charm packs and layer cakes. Linda
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see patterns for pre-cuts - I have difficulty knowing what to do with them. Oh my,
ReplyDeleteChez Moi is lovely! Thanks for the giveaway.
oh my gosh, the summer house is just to die for! That blue is amazing. :) I'd love to see patterns using pre cuts like fat quarters, charm squares, et cetera. I have several charm square packs but don't know what to do with them!
ReplyDeleteI like the Chez Moi prints but I always do. I am currently making a quilt with some of that designers fabric. I would like to see kits for bags and more patterns of all types.
