By the Numbers

Hey y'all!  I wish I could tell you that I've made it to my sewing machine this week, but it didn't happen.  :-/  I had hoped to this weekend, but FMF got here!

So, here's today by the numbers ...

• 42: Number of bolts unwrapped and put away
• 24: Number of complete FMF bundles now cut and packaged
• 504: Number of pieces of FMF fabric I cut and folded today

I must say that some of the prints that weren't my top picks at the beginning of the day are now some favorites!  LOL  Off to bed ... I'm whipped.

Beyond Excited: FMF

Ok, so as many of you know, we've been practicing the "virtue of patience" for nearly two months with regards to Flea Market Fancy.  I am beyond excited to report that our order of two full collections is en route!  (Yes, I just did a happy dance!)

The crazy part ... I had no idea since I left my phone at home this morning as I headed out the door.  At least I came back to this sweet note from my mister ...

... AND the voice mail from Mom that she had talked to the distributor and it was on the way!  If you have a reservation with us, please check your email!  :-)

WIP Wednesday: Planner Cover

Hey y'all!  Hard to believe another half a week is gone already ... has it been a whirlwind week for you too?  I thought I'd stop in and share a little project that I am working on.

Recently, I bought a planner from Erin Condren.  The planner has a strong laminated cover, but I know that in and out of bags everyday it will get beat up quickly.  So, I selected some fabrics for a cover ...

So far, I have it mostly done ... just need to adjust a few things when I finally get back to my sewing machine!  LOL

Scrap Attack Strings QAL Show & Tell #4

Hi friends!  At the beginning of 2012, I introduced a QAL to help us use up those scraps we all have stashed away. Are you stitching along with us?

I'm Back!

Hey y'all!  I am sorry I've been absent from the blog for almost a week!  Last Friday I flew out to Salt Lake City to take some of my students to a conference.  We had a great time there and here's the view I had from my hotel room ...

We don't have mountains like this here in the middle of North Carolina. And while the Blue Ridge mountains in the western part of our state are certainly beautiful, the Rockies are something to see.  :-)

I'm getting back on schedule this week after returning home earlier today.  Hope you've all been having a wonderful week!
